Cowans Sheldon 6.5/10 ton Hand Crane

(As at April 2024, the latest delivery estimate is, unfortunately, 'Not before 2025').

When the Society commissions a ready-to-run model for its members, the manufacturer/supplier involved may either, not require payment until the models ordered are supplied to the Society, or, more often these days, require one or more interim payments towards development and setting-up costs, with only the outstanding balance to be paid on delivery.  The supplier of this model falls into the latter category.

To assist the Society in covering interim payments required, members are invited to indicate their choice of livery or liveries and to make a contribution towards the required payments in the sum of £15 per livery indicated.  On receipt of the models the Society will reserve the indicated liveries and offer them for sale to the contributing members at a reduced price, which will equate to the general selling price per model, less £20 (i.e. less the £15 contribution plus an additional £5 discount).

If you made a contribution and indicated a livery preference based on the original list, there is no need to do anything at this stage.  When the models become available, if you wish to do so, it will be perfectly acceptable to change your livery preference to another model.
